What is Scrip? Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". Scrip cards are also referenced as Ca$h Cards as they are used the same as cash. There is no extra charge for purchasing these cards. The cost invested is the same as the card value. You can support the St. Andrew School and help reduce your tuition cost just by Shopping! When you purchase scrip, you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates that are used just like cash. The scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where many of our organization families already shop. These merchants want to support non-profit organizations, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with scrip at their stores. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, they earn revenue for our school. Each merchant participant has negotiated a percentage that is donated per card. Half of the donated percentage goes to St. Andrew School and half goes toward your student's tuition which is listed with the purchase. Our scrip volunteers keep a record of the total amount that each family has accumulated and provides this information yearly to be used as needed. Don't forget to check out our extended list for the Christmas season! Get paid to get your groceries, fill up with gas or most any of your normal errands!
