Before and After School Care

The Before and After School Care Program is available to St. Andrew students in grades Kindergarten through sixth.

The Before School Care program is available every school day from 7-8am

(this may change to 6:30am if there is a need)

The After School Care program is available every school day from 3:15 until 5:30pm.

In the event of early dismissal due to inclement weather,

please pick up your child as soon as possible. We will remain open

until your child can be picked up.

* Daily care is also available after school sponsored extra-curricular activities.

    
   

 

BILLING

You will receive a bill for your child's care on a weekly basis.  Please look over the bill to ensure it is correct.  If you have questions or concerns, please write a note addressed to "AFTER SCHOOL CARE" and return it to school with your child. 

We would prefer NOT to accept payment at the time you pick your child up.  This distracts us from our duty to the other children in our care.

The costs of the programs are as follows:

Before School Care fee:

$5.00     Daily

$20.00   Weekly

After School Care fee:

$3.00     Dismissal until 3:45

$6.00    Dismissal until 4:30

$12.00  Dismissal until 5:30

$50.00  Weekly Rate

$70.00 - Weekly for Before and After School Care

If you use the Before and/or After School Program on a weekly basis and would like to pay for the week, payment is due at the beginning of each week.

If you use the Program on a daily or as needed basis, payment is due when you pick up your child.

A late fee of $10.00 per half hour per child will be assessed should your child be picked up after 5:30pm.

Many of the staff members have other obligations after school, therefore we appreciate your promptness. We realize that unforeseen circumstances may delay the pick up of your child. If such an emergency arises, please use the After School Care phone number (7 17-3 77-7569) to alert the staff of the delay in picking up your child(ren).

  

 
   

DISCIPLINE

All of the children in the After School Care Program are expected to adhere to the same rules as during regular school hours. If a child does not follow the rules a five (5) minute time out will be given. The next step would be another five (5) minute time out. Should the behavior in question continue you will be notified when your child is picked up. If the problem should continue your child will not be permitted to return to the After School Care Program.

   
   

Homework Policy

All the children who have homework (Monday through Thursday) are expected to work on their assignments quietly after snack. The homework period will last between 20 to 45 minutes.

Snacks

The children are welcome to bring a snack or they may purchase something from the school. These can be paid for with cash or added to your weekly bill.

Change of Clothes

If you prefer, your child is permitted to change into play clothes. Please adhere to the School dress down Policy- i.e.: no short shorts, crop tops or sleeveless tops.

Pick up and Sign Out

All the children attending the After School Care Program will sign in and need to be signed out by the parent or person responsible for taking them home.
