Key terms

1.    Parishioner: those attending St. Andrew Catholic Church or a Participating Parish
       within the Diocese of Harrisburg, PA who are
A.   "Registered" - with their Parish office.
B.   "Active" - attend mass regularly.
C.   "Financially supportive" - regular tithing via payment envelopes, or e-pay.
2.  Other: Catholics who do not meet the three criteria identified above, and Non -
    Catholics.
3.  Participating Parish: parishes within the Diocese of Harrisburg, PA that do not
     have a Parish School program comparable to St. Andrew Parish School (K- 6)
     (St. Mark's in Greencastle, PA, St. Rita's in Blue Ridge Summit, PA, and St. Mary's
     in Fairfield, PA).
 
 
          4Parish Subsidy (Total Parish Support): A grant to Parishioners from their host
               parish (i.e. St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church or a participating parish).
               The total "Cost to Educate"/student less the "Parish Subsidy (Total Parish
               Support)" yields "Parishioner Tuition". It reflects the host parish collective
               responsibility for the faith formation and education of its parish children.
          5Pastor's Endorsement: The Pastor's acknowledgement of the Parish Subsidy
               (Total Parish Support) requirement and the agreement to pay it on behalf of the
               requesting Parishioner (Enclosures 3 and 4 refer).

                     6. Other Tuition: Tuition not reduced by a Parish Subsidy (Total Parish Support).

           7. Parishioner Tuition: The "Cost to Educate"/student less the Parish Subsidy (Total
               Parish Support).

           8. Active Tuition: Recognizes participation in Parish School activities by awarding credits

               for activities noted below. Credit thresholds must be met to be eligible for Active Tuition.

           9. In-Active Tuition: Recognizes no or limited participation in parish school activities.
